Department: Solar Engineering / Renewable Energy Projects

Job Summary:
The role involves leading or supporting the electrical design and engineering of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, primarily ground-mounted and utility-scale projects. The candidate will ensure that all electrical components are designed, optimized, and implemented in compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Engineering:
- Develop detailed electrical designs for solar PV systems (DC & AC side).
- Prepare single-line diagrams, cable layouts, and load calculations.
- Select and size components like inverters, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.
- Conduct energy yield simulations using tools like PVsyst or Helioscope.
Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with civil and structural teams for integrated design.
- Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to ensure design feasibility.
- Support project planning and scheduling from a design perspective.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure designs meet local and international electrical codes (e.g., IEC, NEC).
- Prepare technical documentation for approvals and audits.
- Assist in preparing BOQs and technical specifications.
Quality & Safety:
- Review and validate vendor designs and drawings.
- Conduct site visits for design validation and troubleshooting.
- Ensure safety standards are embedded in design practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in solar electrical design, with exposure to at least 100 MW of ground-mounted in single project.
Skills & Tools:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, PVsyst, Helioscope.
- Strong understanding of grid integration and electrical distribution systems.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
