Job Summary
The Electrical Executive will be responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and reliability of all electrical systems and equipment within our manufacturing facility. This role ensures continuous production, adherence to safety standards, and optimization of energy consumption.
Job Responsibilities
Maintenance & Operations: Oversee the preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all electrical installations, including power distribution, motor control centers (MCCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), lighting, and instrumentation.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues, including circuit faults, equipment malfunctions, and control system failures, ensuring minimal downtime.
Project Management: Participate in and lead electrical projects, including new installations, upgrades, and modifications, from conceptualization to commissioning.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all electrical safety regulations, company policies, and statutory requirements. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
Energy Management: Implement and monitor energy conservation initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and ensure optimal energy utilization across the plant.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, equipment history, spare parts inventory, and generate regular performance reports.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with production, mechanical, and instrumentation teams to ensure seamless plant operations and efficient problem-solving.
Vendor Management: Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for specialized services and procurement of electrical components.
Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance and operations within a manufacturing environment, preferably in FMCG or a similar continuous process industry.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of industrial power distribution systems (LT & HT), switchgear, and transformers.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining motors, drives, and control systems (PLCs, VFDs).
Familiarity with electrical safety standards, LOTO procedures, and statutory compliance.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
Experience with SCADA systems and instrumentation will be an added advantage.
