Role Overview
Wiring Harness Engineer to design and develop 2D and 3D wiring harnesses for construction and mining products. The role involves routing, packaging, and documenting electrical harness systems using Creo, ensuring designs meet functional requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop 3D wiring harness layouts and routing using Creo
- Produce 2D wiring harness drawings, including formboards, schematics, and BOMs
- Define harness architecture, connector selection, splices, clamps, and protective coverings
- Ensure proper routing considering clearances, heat, vibration, and serviceability
- Prepare and release harness documentation for manufacturing and suppliers
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and system engineering teams
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical and industry standards
Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering
- 3 to 5 years of experience in wiring harness design for off-highway, construction, or mining equipment
- Strong proficiency in Creo (2D and 3D wiring harness design)
- Knowledge of connectors, terminals, splices, wires, and protective components
- Understanding of environmental requirements (vibration, dust, moisture, temperature)
