Job Description

Orbit & Skyline is looking forward to onboarding a highly skilled Electrical/Electronic Engineer with a good understanding of various electronics/electrical components. The candidate will be part of a team assisting in the delivery of efficient engineering support and solutions to customers while also contributing to the development of the Indian semiconductor ecosystem.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Work on new product development & design upgrades of the system/sub-sub systems.
  • End-to-end ownership with rapidly generating design concepts & develop into detailed drawings to manufacture those concepts for further qualification
  • Work collaboratively with the cross-functional team comprising mechanical, software, system and process engineering (in different geographies) to develop and qualify engineering solutions.
  • Component selection as per requirement along with addressing any obsolescence on the sub-system.
  • Participate in design reviews to present the design throughout the different phases of design and development.
  • Design/update cable assemblies, interconnects & schematics as per requirements using AUTOCAD/Zuken/PCAD/NX software

Eligibility Criteria

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics with experience of 3-5 years.
  • Master's degree is preferred with 1 year of experience.
  • Must be comfortable working with US-based timings.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Understanding of the electrical system design, including cable harness creation and management; hands-on knowledge on schematics and system interconnect development.
  • Understanding of the sensors, motors/actuators and other electronics components, including communication devices.
  • Must be able to select and recommend components depending upon application and circuit requirements.
  • System & sub-system level understanding leading to strong problem solving, analytical & critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation & project management skills.

Good to have:

  • Exposure to working on part lifecycle management, change orders using any PLM system.
  • Experience in working on electronic components obsolescence
  • Understanding on robot's components, PLC, Sensors, vision system
  • Understanding on robot automation, ROS2, Python
  • Hands-on experience of testing electronics components- bench-level test and system-level test.
  • Hands-on experience with AUTOCAD/Zuken/PCAD software.
