We are seeking an experienced Marine Electrical Engineer bringing hands-on expertise in maritime electrical systems and a Practical understanding of vessel technical operations.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with minimum 2-4 years of experience in Marine Electrical Designs and Retrofits. Qualification B.E/ B. Tech in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent. Prior Marine electrical design/installation experience would be preferred with working experience on Basic/Advanced AutoCAD (2D/3D).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of basic & detailed electrical engineering drawings for marine/offshore projects.
  • Understanding existing systems & recommending system upgradation, including onsite inspection for upgradation/retrofit projects in the marine/offshore industry and study and updating of short circuit calculation for retrofit.
  • Sound knowledge of Electrical Calculations of Ships Electrical systems and Sizing of ships electrical switchgear.
  • Detailed Designing/ Modelling and design review of electrical components from an electrical system perspective and reviewing electrical & instrumentation part of the project.
  • Liaising with clients/class/Internal multi-discipline teams, managing the electrical team, project planning, and being responsible for all electrical project deliverables.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 2-4 years of experience inmarine electrical engineering, shipbuilding, or offshore industries.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and ETAP for electrical design and analysis is mandatory, with experience in electrical load analysis, fault current calculations, and system modelling.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, and automation systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and single-line diagrams.
  • Marine or sailing experience is mandatory, with prior shipboard or offshore experience considered an added advantage, and background as an Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) with onboard sailing experience is desirable for this role.
  • Apply technical and theoretical knowledge in electrical and instrumentation systems while coordinating with clients and internal teams for project execution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
