We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer - I who is adept at electrical design, BOM release, and production and testing support for industrial machinery. You will be responsible for developing electrical designs, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM) based on customer requirements, and will participate in concept, design, and testing reviews. This role involves engineering complex machinery controls and collaborating within a global team to deliver high-quality, safe, and reliable equipment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical designs, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM) based on customer requirements.
- Engineer extensive and complex machinery controls, involving original design work and selecting components.
- Participate in concept, design, production, testing, safety, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting reviews with customers.
- Optimize designs and apply knowledge of control system architecture, including hardware, software, instrumentation, and networking equipment.
- Understand control philosophy and write functional requirement specifications, including descriptions of servo control, safety interlocks, and alarms.
- Contribute creative ideas and new approaches to new product design and development projects.
- Test and debug equipment to isolate defects.
- Prepare schematics and BOMs for moderately complex equipment.
- Support manufacturing and assembly teams.
- May travel to customer sites to provide technical assistance.
- Counsel and train other engineers in technical areas as required.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in electrical design, BOM release, and production/testing support for industrial machinery.
- Experience in calculation and selection of Motors, Drives, AC Load calculations, and low/medium voltage switchgear systems.
- Experience in handling low and medium voltage motor control systems (MCC).
- Hands-on experience in preparation of single and three-line diagrams, panel drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of industrial control and protection schemes.
- Knowledge of major OEM motors, emergency standby generators, uninterruptable power supplies, and related protective relays.
- Familiarity with electrical safety practices and procedures, including NFPA70E and OSHA regulations.
- Knowledge of UL508A, IEC, NEMA, and other relevant standards.
- Experience in designing and testing Safety Interlocks in compliance with safety standards.
- Experience in creating symbols, assigning metadata, and creating macros in E-Plan.
- Experience in creating and updating functional specifications of machines.
- Familiarity with E-Plan P8 and above and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Knowledge in GUI programming support for SmartTouch using Ignition is a plus.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
