What you'll do
As part of the Electrical team at Aule, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and integration of spacecraft electrical systems: from power generation and distribution to onboard electronics that enable autonomous and reliable operations in orbit.
Responsibilities
- Work on the electrical power system and sub-system level design trades and develop requirements
- Define and perform electrical power system verification testing and analysis
- Work with multidisciplinary teams of design, test, and production engineers to create new power electronics hardware
- Plan and run environmental tests (EMI/EMC, TVAC, Vibration)
- Manage and control key components such as solar panel arrays, power regulation and distribution, power processing, and power conditioning
- Integrate these systems into the spacecraft by working closely with the rest of the team
What we look for
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience
- A passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development
- Experience working with, designing for, and testing high voltage components and systems
- Experience in designing, building, and testing analog and digital circuits
Preferred qualifications
- EMI/EMC experience
- Experience with designing for fault tolerance, especially to withstand a radiation environment
- Experience with photovoltaics
