Job Description

The Electrical Designer will be responsible for creating, checking and approving drawings / designs, interface communication, and ensuring the accuracy, reliability, efficiency, and safety of the electrical scope of work for Hyperscale Data Centre Modules meets customer's requirements and Industrial Standards they produce.

The position reports to the Engineering Lead.

Successful Position holders are excellent communicators, enjoy solving problems, and work well in teams.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide and check drawings / BOM as per customer requirements.
• Prepare bulk MTOs (Material Take Offs) and detailed BOMs (Bill of Materials) with no supervision from Engineer.
• Ensure drawings follow the Engineering and quality standards set by the leads.
• Help in solving problems by simulating the problems in drawings.
• Prepare and complete various electrical deliverable drawings and documents such as cable routing, panel drawings, panel layout, electrical schematics, interconnect diagrams, loop diagrams, single-line electrical wiring schematics, cable schedule, lighting location /layout / plan, instrument location / layout / plan, earthing details, I/O (Input/output) schedule, electrical termination hook-ups, etc.
• Supervise the outsourcing of engineering design work to 3rd party engineering / design firms when needed.
• Review, as required, vendor data and drawings to ensure compliance with client specifications or applicable standards.
• Produce report data from models and assist in providing necessary design information to Project/Client/Third Party, as required.
• Provide and document Lessons learned feedback and utilize findings from the process to update tools and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Designer should be in possession of a Technical Certification (Diploma) in the design discipline.
• 5-10 years of experience mechanical and structural scopes of work in AutoCAD / AutoCAD electrical and any 3D modelling software for the electrical scope.
• Fluency, both written and verbal, in English.
• Extreme work ethic and maintains high level of quality of work and due diligence.
• Performs well under pressure in high stress environments, ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
