Job Description – Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to handle end-to-

end electrical design and estimation for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The ideal

candidate should have strong expertise in HT/LT systems, panel design, and MEP coordination,

along with hands-on experience in design calculations and project execution support.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical design basis based on client and project requirements.

• Perform detailed electrical calculations including:

• Load calculations

• Cable sizing

• Voltage drop calculations

• Breaker selection

• Lux level calculations (using Dialux)

• Develop Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for HT/LT systems and distribution networks.

• Design and prepare layouts for:

• Lighting & small power

• Cable routing & cable trays

• Earthing & lightning protection systems

• Selection and sizing of Transformers, DG sets, LV panels, MCC, PCC, APFC panels,

DBs.

• Prepare BOQs, material specifications, and estimation for electrical works.

• Coordinate with MEP services (HVAC, ELV, PHE) and other project stakeholders.

• Review shop drawings, vendor drawings, and technical submissions.

• Support project execution through site coordination and technical clarifications.

• Ensure compliance with IS Codes, NBC standards, and safety regulations.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in electrical design & estimation for construction projects

• Hands-on experience in HT & LT panel design and substation layouts

• Proficiency in:

AutoCAD / ZWCAD

Dialux / Dialux Evo

MS Office

• Good understanding of:

Electrical panels (MCC, PCC, APFC, Control Panels)

Transformers, DG systems, RMU, VCB panels

Earthing & lightning protection systems

• Ability to handle projects independently and coordinate with multiple teams

Qualifications

• B.E / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (EEE)

Preferred Experience

• Experience in industrial, residential, and commercial projects

• Exposure to substation projects / HT systems (up to 33kV or above)

• Experience in electrical estimation and tendering
