Position Summary
The Drafter will be responsible for the drafting, layout, production, communication, and overall presentation for all drawing deliverables for the engineering efforts.

Essential Functions Statement(s):
Ability to draft legible drawings that adhere to client, industry, and company standards.
Ability to utilize AutoDesk software.
Ability to create both 2D and 3D designs.
Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and clients to streamline workflow and improve project delivery.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure alignment of technical specifications while delivering high-quality engineering outputs.
Be actively involved in the preparation of proposals and business development activities.
Be proactive in supporting construction operations with a problem-solving mindset.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to improve power system studies.
Position Qualifications
Associate's/technical degree in an accredited drafting program, or sufficient industry experience
1+ year drafting experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, preferably in an engineering work environment
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in power system analysis and studies.
Previous experience working in the US market.
Ability to travel to the Overland Park office for training, development, team building, and client engagement activities.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
Education and Experience
3+ years drafting experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, preferably in an engineering work environment
Proficiency with Autodesk Raster Design and/or Bentley Descartes
Experience interpreting substation electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, and/or substation physical/civil drawings
Experience working with scaled drawings
Working knowledge of survey coordinate systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience with ProjectWise File Management System
Experience with the InEight Document software
Reliable, detail-oriented self-starter who takes ownership of assigned tasks
