Serve as Area Lead or Lead on assigned projects, performing moderately complex engineering assignments and applying standard engineering techniques to a broad set of complex assignments.
Provide technical knowledge and administrative supervision for mid-size/large projects, including planning, scheduling, reporting, staffing, cost estimating and analysis, change management, and implementation of quality steps.
Develop and review electrical system specifications, including design criteria.
Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting.
Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve moderately complex engineering problems.
Review vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and across other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution.
Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems of varying complexity in line with organizational and project objectives.
Apply cost-competitive execution techniques to deliver the most cost-effective solutions for discipline engineering work.
Coordinate with project teams for electrical packages, hazardous area classification, substation layouts, motor schematics, cable schedules, and interface with mechanical packages.
Leverage software tools such as ETAP or SKM for electrical system analysis and design.
