Electric Vehicle - AC Designer

• Design and developHVAC systems(heating, ventilation, air conditioning) tailored forelectric buses, including integration withbattery thermal management.
• Work with cross-functional teams to define HVAC performance requirements and constraints, especially relating topower consumptionandrange impact.
• Performthermal simulations and load calculationsto optimize system design for performance and energy efficiency.
• Develop 2D and 3D CAD models using tools such asCATIA,SolidWorks, orCreo.
• Select and specify HVAC components (compressors, condensers, evaporators, blowers, sensors, etc.).
• Collaborate with suppliers on component development, validation, and integration.
• Supportsystem-level testingin lab and vehicle environments to validate HVAC performance, includingbattery coolingunder various drive cycles.
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards and industry regulations (ISO, SAE, CE, etc.)
• Create and maintain BOMs, technical drawings, and system documentation.
• Confirm the design sizing of the Ac in Intercity application
• Identify the RCA of current Ac Issues
• Evaluate the condition of Ac in our Buses
• Suggest improvements for efficiency

Preferred candidate profile

• Should be a AC system designer specially buses ( EV would be an added advantage)
• Hands on Ac system, on field experience.
• Knowledge ofvehicle thermal systems, battery thermal management, andrefrigeration cycles.
• Familiar withCAN communication, control systems, and integration with vehicle ECUs.
• Proficiency in CAD and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Flowtherm, GT-SUITE).
• Hands-on experience with HVAC prototyping and testing (environmental chambers, airflow testing, etc.).
