Role Overview
Join the Asia Pacific R&D EH&S team to ensure effective implementation of safety, health, and environmental policies in India and other APAC countries. Collaborate with site leaders to minimize operation risks, ensure compliance, and foster a culture of safety excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with site teams to establish / implement EHS&S policies and promote a strong safety culture.
- Interpret and communicate laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Administer and improve EHS programs, including training and risk assessments.
- Maintain records for Occupational Safety & Health programs.
- Develop department-specific safety policies and programs.
- Collaborate to identify and mitigate unsafe conditions.
- Advise management on risk management and controls.
- Champion EHS initiatives through clear communication and engagement.
- Streamline processes to build a world-class safety culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in agricultural, industrial field.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% mainly in India and across Asia Pacific.
- Advanced computer proficiency and attention to detail.
- 35 years EHS management experience.
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in Hindi, Telugu, and English.
- Diploma in Industrial safety from the Central Labour Institute (CLI) or Certificate in Safety Engineering from the Regional Labour Institute (RLI)
- Workplace Safety certification (First Aid, CPR, AED).
- Training in industrial hygiene and regulatory compliance.
- Awareness of environmental regulations.
