Job Description:
You will own the product delivery process end-to-end, working directly with stakeholders and guiding a lean team of senior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is well-groomed, prioritised, and sprint-ready at all times
- Drive spec-driven development practices, using AI agents to generate, refine, and validate feature specifications
- Delegate structured research, documentation, and requirements drafting tasks to AI agents and review outputs before they enter the backlog
- Lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and stakeholder alignment sessions
- Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and the engineering team
- Gather, translate, and document feature requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria
- Track and communicate delivery progress, risks, and blockers to all stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years in a Product Owner or Product Manager role, ideally within a software delivery or platform engineering context
- Minimum AI Maturity Level 3** you regularly delegate scoped tasks (spec writing, user story generation, research, documentation) to AI agents and review at the output level, not line by line
- Can demonstrate real examples of AI-delegated work from recent roles not just AI-assisted writing
- Strong experience with agile delivery frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and backlog management tooling
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast-moving, lean team environments with high delivery accountability
- Comfortable working with technical stakeholders and translating business requirements into engineering-ready specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Prior experience supporting platform or internal tooling products
- Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript engineering environments
Experience working in a managed services or outsourced delivery model
