About the Role
This is not a traditional video editing role.
We are hiring a Fiction Editor (Micro-dramas - English) who has lived inside daily drama and micro-drama workflows already. You will work directly with directors, one project at a time, shaping pacing, performance, and emotional beats. The reference workflow on our projects is a first solid cut of around 90 minutes of content in roughly 15 days. If that rhythm is unfamiliar territory, this role will likely not be the right fit.
You will be in regular one-on-one conversation with directors, taking notes, defending choices, and rebuilding scenes on the fly. Briefs, scripts, and feedback are in English. The story sensibility is Western drama, not Indian daily soap, and that distinction needs to live in your cuts.
What You'll Actually Do
- Take full editorial ownership of micro-drama projects: shape episodes from briefs to locked cut, scene by scene
- Deliver a strong first assembly in line with the studio reference of around 90 minutes of cut content in 15 days
- Make confident calls on pacing, performance, and emotional arc, even when briefs shift or coverage is uneven
- Bring a Western drama edit sensibility to scenes: how a beat lands in a 60-second vertical cut for an LA show runner is not how it lands in a daily soap
- Manage your timelines and project files so the next person on the chain (colour, sound, motion) is never blocked
What We're Looking For
- 3 to 5 years editing scripted fiction, with direct hands-on experience on daily drama and prior work on micro-dramas
- Familiarity with the high-volume cut workflow: a first 90-minute cut in around 15 days is normal for you
- Strong storytelling instincts on A-roll, dialogue scenes, and emotional turn points
- Working command of Western drama edit sensibility and clear english communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Sound design instincts: you temp music and SFX into your cuts as you go

- Already think like a creative producer, even if your title has always been editor
- Can articulate why a beat works in a Western drama frame, not only in an Indian TV frame
- Are comfortable communicating in English and clearly sharing your decisions and point of view
- Care about narrative integrity more than ticking a delivery box

- Need step-by-step instructions to feel confident on a scene
- Have not yet worked inside a daily drama or micro-drama production rhythm
- Prefer to just edit what's given and move on
