Role Summary We are seeking an EDI Tester with strong functional testing expertise and business process understanding to validate end-to-end EDI integrations across order, logistics, and invoicing workflows. The role focuses on business-driven EDI testing, ensuring transactions are compliant, accurate, and aligned with real-world operational processes. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities EDI Testing & Validation
- Perform functional testing of EDI transactions, including: o 850 / 875 Purchase Orders o 860 PO Change Requests o 856 Advance Ship Notices (ASN) o 810 / 880 Invoices
- Validate positive, negative, and edge-case scenarios
- Ensure EDI documents meet trading-partner-specific business rules ________________________________________ Business Process Validation
- Apply order-to-cash business process knowledge during testing
- Validate: o Order creation and changes o Shipment and fulfillment scenarios o Invoice accuracy and reconciliation
- Ensure EDI flows align with real operational outcomes, not just technical compliance ________________________________________ Logistics & Invoicing Testing
- Test ASN flows including: o Cartonization and packaging hierarchy o Partial and split shipments o Carrier and shipment data
- Validate invoice accuracy: o PO vs invoice matching o Pricing, quantities, allowances, freight, and tax o Chargeback and deduction prevention ________________________________________ System & Integration Testing
- Validate data flow between: o EDI platform (e.g., TrueCommerce or similar) o ERP / OMS / WMS systems
- Verify successful transaction processing and exception handling
- Review functional acknowledgments (997) and error logs ________________________________________ Documentation & Collaboration
- Create and execute EDI test cases and scenarios
- Document defects with clear business impact
- Collaborate with: o Onshore stakeholders o EDI analysts and developers o Business and operations teams ________________________________________ Required Skills & Experience Functional & EDI Expertise
- 36 years of experience in EDI testing or functional testing
- Strong hands-on experience with ANSI X12 transactions
- Solid understanding of EDI business flows, not just file validation ________________________________________ Business Process Knowledge
- Strong understanding of: o Order-to-cash lifecycle o Retail / grocery / CPG supply chain processes o Logistics, fulfillment, and invoicing workflows
- Experience validating real business scenarios during testing ________________________________________ Technical & Tools
- Experience with EDI platforms such as TrueCommerce, SPS Commerce, or similar
- Familiarity with EDI translators and validation tools
- Ability to analyze EDI files, logs, and error reports
- Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) is a plus ________________________________________ Soft Skills
