Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Graduate in Economics or Data Analytics to support our team in delivering data-driven insights for clients across the Middle East and globally. This role offers hands-on experience in economic research, data analysis, and visualisation within a multidisciplinary environment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, curiosity about socio-economic trends, and an interest in applying data to real-world planning, infrastructure, and development projects.
Responsibilities
- Support applied economic analysis, including costbenefit assessments, economic impact analysis, and policy evaluations.
- Assist with data collection, cleaning, and management to ensure datasets are accurate and reliable.
- Contribute to the development of dashboards and visual reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
- Transform datasets into meaningful insights to support business cases, market assessments, and socio-economic studies.
- Work collaboratively with planners, transport specialists, and environmental teams to integrate analytical insights into broader projects.
- Assist in preparing presentations, research summaries, and technical reports for internal and client deliverables.
- Provide analytical and research support across DPUD and Advisory teams as required.
Qualifications
- Recently completed a degree in Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with an interest in economic and policy analysis.
- Familiarity with Excel and exposure to analytical tools such as Power BI, R, Python, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of data visualisation principles and communicating insights through data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate initiative in a collaborative environment.
Desirable Competencies:
- Exposure to GIS or spatial data analysis.
- Familiarity with global datasets (e.g. UN, World Bank, national statistics).
- Interest in sustainability, urban development, and socio-economic policy.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to multidisciplinary, evidence-based projects.
BGV:
