Job Description

Role Overview

The E-Commerce Product Manager will own and evolve the end-to-end product experience across online marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, and the company's D2C website. This role focuses on driving growth through product discovery, conversion optimization, catalog experience, and data-driven improvements, while working closely with engineering, design, content, operations, and business teams.

The Product Manager will translate business goals into product requirements, roadmaps, and experiments that improve visibility, sales, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Ownership

  • Own the e-commerce product roadmap across marketplaces and owned platforms.
  • Define product goals, success metrics (KPIs), and quarterly priorities aligned with revenue and growth targets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve discovery, conversion, pricing logic, and catalog experience.

Marketplace Product Management

  • Own the product experience on Amazon, Flipkart, and other marketplaces.
  • Translate marketplace constraints, algorithms, and policies into optimized product flows.
  • Improve listing discoverability, buy box performance, and conversion through structured product improvements.
  • Work closely with catalog and operations teams to ensure scalable, error-free workflows.

Catalog & Content Experience

  • Define standards for product content quality including titles, images, attributes, A+ content, and enhanced listings.
  • Partner with design and content teams to improve UX, storytelling, and visual merchandising.
  • Run experiments (A/B tests where applicable) to improve engagement and conversion.

Data, Analytics & Experimentation

  • Track and analyze metrics such as traffic, conversion rate, sales, buy box %, and customer behavior.
  • Use insights from dashboards, reports, and marketplace analytics to drive product decisions.
  • Monitor competitor activity, category trends, and marketplace changes to inform roadmap updates.
  • Identify growth opportunities through pricing, assortment, and experience optimization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with:
  • Engineering & Tech teams for product execution
  • Content & Design teams for experience improvements
  • Operations & Logistics teams for inventory and order flow
  • Sales & Leadership teams for business alignment
  • Act as the single point of ownership for e-commerce product initiatives.

Operational Excellence (Product Lens)

  • Ensure smooth SKU onboarding flows, catalog creation processes, and backend tooling improvements.
  • Identify inefficiencies in backend workflows and propose scalable product solutions.
  • Continuously improve internal dashboards, reporting tools, and product documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 25 years of experience in Product Management, E-Commerce, Marketplace Operations, or Digital Commerce roles.
  • Strong understanding of Amazon & Flipkart ecosystems, algorithms, and constraints.
  • Proven ability to work with data, metrics, and dashboards (Excel, analytics tools).
  • Experience writing PRDs, user stories, and product requirement documents.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration ability.
