Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented E-commerce Marketplace Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our online marketplace business across leading platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, TataCliq, Myntra, and others. The role requires a strong blend of operational management, data-driven decision-making, cross-functional coordination, and strategic execution to maximize sales, optimize listings, and enhance customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:Marketplace Operations & Catalogue Management
- Oversee end-to-end operations of multiple marketplace platforms to ensure smooth execution and high-level performance.
- Manage product catalogues, including SOP-based creation, listing, pricing, and optimization.
- Coordinate the addition, removal, and promotion of products in line with campaigns and seasonal trends.
- Ensure A+ content management for product listings to drive visibility and conversion.
- Protect in-house brands via brand registry and reputation management.
Promotions, Campaigns & Advertising
- Collaborate with marketplaces to identify promotional opportunities, deals, and sales events.
- Leverage digital advertising tools, including Amazon Sponsored Products/Ads, to maximize ROI.
- Develop and execute promotional campaigns in alignment with the company's sales roadmap.
Inventory & Order Fulfillment
- Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure accurate order processing and timely delivery.
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels, ensuring FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) stock availability while minimizing storage costs.
- Troubleshoot issues within Seller Central and FBA interfaces to resolve listing, order, or compliance challenges.
Data Analytics & Performance Tracking
- Monitor key performance metrics such as sales, feedback, cancellation rates, returns, and customer ratings.
- Provide actionable insights and performance summaries to drive continuous improvement.
- Track competitor listings, pricing strategies, and campaigns to ensure competitive positioning.
- Assist in developing and managing marketplace pricing strategies.
Business Development & Expansion
- Work closely with stakeholders to launch additional marketplaces as per the company's growth roadmap.
- Provide strategic inputs on product selection, market entry, and platform-specific opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 25 years of experience managing marketplace operations (Amazon/Flipkart experience mandatory).
- Strong understanding of marketplace algorithms, SEO, and catalog optimization.
- Hands-on experience with digital advertising tools (Amazon Ads, Flipkart Ads, Google Ads preferred).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and marketplace metrics.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-solving orientation with a proactive approach to operational challenges.
