About the Role
We are looking for an Ecommerce Manager; who oversees online sales performance, platform operations, and customer experience to drive revenue growth and business success through digital channels.
This role combines digital marketing, merchandising, data analytics, and operational management to optimize the entire customer journey from discovery to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. E-Commerce Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute comprehensive e-commerce strategies to drive online sales, customer acquisition, and retention.
- Create promotional calendars, pricing strategies, and seasonal campaigns to increase sales and customer engagement.
- Align e-commerce initiatives with overall business objectives and sales-related insights.
2. Platform and Website Management
- Manage day-to-day operations of the e-commerce platform (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, or similar).
- Oversee website design, functionality, and user experience to ensure smooth, intuitive shopping journeys.
- Review and optimize checkout pages, payment procedures, and security protocols.
- Coordinate with developers and IT teams on platform improvements and technical implementations.
3. Product and Merchandising
- Manage product listings, descriptions, images, pricing, and inventory accuracy across all channels.
- Ensure catalog content is fresh, error-free, and aligned with brand standards.
- Coordinate assortments, collections, and variant logic with merchandising teams.
- Oversee marketplace listings and maintain consistency across omnichannel touchpoints.
4. Conversion Optimization and Analytics
- Track and analyze key e-commerce metrics including conversion rate (CR), average order value (AOV), bounce rate, and traffic patterns.
- Run A/B tests and CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) strategies to improve funnel performance.
- Monitor customer behavior and trends to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Review heatmaps, user journeys, and site analytics to optimize navigation, search, and product pages.
- Prepare weekly/monthly performance reports with actionable insights.
5. Digital Marketing Coordination
- Collaborate with marketing teams on SEO, SEM, email marketing, paid advertising, and affiliate programs.
- Transform social media channels into revenue-generating platforms.
- Ensure promotional offers are uploaded accurately with proper legal disclaimers and copy verification.
- Analyze traffic sources and campaign effectiveness to inform marketing strategies.
6. Operations & Customer Service
- Oversee order management, delivery tracking, and fulfillment coordination.
- Manage customer service queries related to the online store.
- Coordinate with logistics teams to optimize shipping costs and maintain service quality.
- Monitor inventory levels and provide demand signals to prevent stockouts.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, product, logistics, IT, design, and content teams to ensure seamless e-commerce processes.
- Brief copywriters, graphic designers, and developers on strategic requirements
- Manage external vendors, agencies, and platform partners
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, Information Technology, or related field
Experience
- 3-5 years of proven experience as an E-Commerce Manager or in similar e-commerce/digital marketing roles
- Demonstrated track record of driving online revenue growth and conversion optimization
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce
- Solid understanding of digital marketing strategies including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media.
- Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, heatmap tools, etc.)
- Proficiency with Order Management Systems (OMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and CRM platforms
- Comfortable with spreadsheets and data instrumentation tools
- Knowledge of payment systems, checkout security, and PCI compliance
