Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially driven and analytically strong E-Commerce Manager to lead end-to-end online store operations. This role combines product sourcing and curation, merchandising strategy, campaign coordination, social collaboration, and revenue growth ownership.
The ideal candidate understands both the creative aesthetics of consumer commerce and the data discipline required to scale performance profitably.
This is a revenue-impacting role with direct accountability for online sales performance, conversion optimization, and assortment strategy.
Key Responsibilities1. Product Sourcing & Curation
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers aligned with brand positioning and margin targets.
- Research trends across marketplaces, social platforms, and seasonal demand cycles.
- Curate product assortments based on:
- Consumer demand
- Market trends
- Margin viability
- Inventory velocity
- Negotiate pricing, MOQs, packaging, and lead times.
- Develop seasonal and campaign-based collections (e.g., Women's Day, Easter, Festive Drops).
- Ensure product-market fit through competitor benchmarking and sales data analysis.
- Maintain vendor performance tracking and backup supplier networks.
2. Store Management & Merchandising
- Own end-to-end management of the e-commerce store (Shopify/WooCommerce/Custom CMS).
- Optimize homepage, category pages, and product pages for:
- Conversion
- Aesthetic alignment
- Cross-sell and upsell opportunities
- Create seasonal storefront refreshes.
- Implement pricing strategies (bundles, limited drops, flash sales).
- Manage inventory visibility and stock forecasting.
- Ensure SEO best practices for product listings.
- Improve AOV through smart bundling and merchandising logic.
3. Campaign & Social Media Coordination
- Collaborate with social media and content teams to align product launches with campaigns.
- Translate trends from Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok into sellable products.
- Plan campaign calendars with:
- Promotional mechanics
- Product drops
- Email push schedules
- Landing page strategy
- Coordinate creatives for:
- Website banners
- Newsletter features
- Paid ad creatives
- Social commerce integrations
- Track campaign performance and optimize in real time.
4. Trend Monitoring & Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor pricing and assortments.
- Identify high-performing product categories and emerging trends.
- Track seasonal buying patterns.
- Use analytics tools (GA4, Shopify analytics, Meta insights) to guide decisions.
- Recommend product pivots based on performance data.
5. Growth & Revenue Optimization
- Own revenue targets for the online store.
- Identify growth levers:
- Bundling
- Cross-selling
- Retention programs
- Subscription models (if applicable)
- Optimize checkout flows and reduce friction.
- Collaborate on performance marketing strategies.
- Develop testing roadmap (A/B tests on pricing, layout, messaging).
Required Qualifications
- 36+ years experience in e-commerce management.
- Strong experience in product sourcing and vendor negotiation.
- Hands-on experience with Shopify, WooCommerce, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of merchandising psychology and visual hierarchy.
- Proficiency in analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, CRM dashboards).
- Commercial acumen with strong margin and cost analysis capability.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams (design, social, marketing).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in gifting, lifestyle, celebration, or consumer products.
- Private-label or curated marketplace experience.
- Understanding of supply chain fundamentals.
- Experience scaling D2C brands.
- Familiarity with influencer-led product launches.
