Who We Are Looking For

We are not looking for another performance-marketing specialist. We already have a paid media team. What we need is a business operator someone who can sit at the centre of our eCommerce operation, connect every function, hold people accountable, and make our store better every single day.

This person must be able to ask tough questions, spot what is not working before it becomes a problem, make smart decisions with incomplete information, and build a team of people who are better than them in their respective domains. We want someone who is always learning about our customers, our industry, technology, and the world and who brings those lessons back to improve what we do. Person should have hands on working knowledge of Shopify. Entrepreneurial background is a plus (success of failure doesn't matter).

If your instinct is to open a spreadsheet before opening an ad manager, this role may be for you.

What You Will Own

1. eCommerce Site & Customer Experience

Own the quality of every customer touchpoint on our Shopify store product pages, navigation, search, collection structure, checkout flow, and overall UX.

Maintain an obsessively high bar for product content: imagery, copy, metadata, pricing accuracy, and structured data.

Identify friction points in the customer journey and drive fixes whether that means briefing a developer, adjusting an app configuration, or rewriting a product description yourself.

Audit site experience regularly and benchmark against best-in-class furniture retailers.

2. Analytics & Conversion Intelligence

Generate, interpret, and act on data from Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console without needing someone to pull reports for you.

Track and understand the full funnel: traffic sources, upper-funnel awareness metrics, mid-funnel engagement, lower-funnel conversion, and post-purchase retention.

Identify where customers are dropping off and form a clear hypothesis then test it.

Build a weekly/monthly reporting rhythm that gives leadership meaningful signal, not just vanity metrics.

3. SEO Programme Oversight (Oversight, Not Execution)

Review SEO performance, audit content gaps, and guide the SEO team toward meaningful organic growth you do not need to write every meta description, but you must know whether the strategy is working and why.

Ask hard questions: Why did traffic drop Which categories are underperforming Where are we losing to competitors in search

Ensure product and content teams understand SEO requirements and build them into standard workflows.

4. Paid Media Partnership (Oversight, Not Execution)

Hold our paid media team accountable to ROAS, CPA, and contribution margin targets not just click volume.

Understand campaign structure well enough to sense-check strategy, flag inefficiencies, and make the call when something is not performing.

Ensure paid traffic lands on the right pages with the right experience connecting ad strategy to on-site execution.

5. Brand Management & Merchandising (Ownership with graphics team available to support)

Protect and strengthen the look, feel, voice, and values of each brand in our portfolio.

Collaborate with the design team to ensure all visual assets banners, product images, email templates are on-brand and commercially sharp.

Plan and execute seasonal merchandising calendars: promotions, collection launches, homepage priorities, and email campaigns.

Think like a merchant: what should we be selling, to whom, at what price, and why will they believe us

6. Team Leadership & Accountability

Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams: product uploads, graphic design, SEO, customer service, and external agency partners.

Set clear KPIs and deadlines. Follow up. Hold people accountable kindly but firmly.

Hire well. Know when you need help, find the right person for the job, and make them successful.

Create a culture where problems are surfaced early, not hidden, and where continuous improvement is the default.

7. Physical Store Sales Support

Support the growth of our physical retail presence by ensuring that the online experience reinforces and drives in-store traffic.

Coordinate online promotions, local SEO signals, and brand messaging to support store-level sales goals.

Bridge the gap between our digital marketing and in-store customer experience.

The Kind of Person We Want

Honest self-awareness you know what you do not know, and you find the people who do

A learner's mindset AI, new retail technology, shifting consumer behaviour: you are watching it all

Strong communication clear in writing, direct in conversation, confident in presenting data to leadership
