Job Description:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Duck Creek Policy development, customization, and implementation.
- Proficiency in Duck Creek Author, Duck Creek Policy Administration, and other related Duck Creek tools and modules.
- Strong understanding of insurance domain concepts and processes.
- Experience with integration technologies such as XML, web services, and APIs.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
Preferred Certifications/Knowledge
- Duck Creek certification(s) such as Duck Creek Policy Admin, Duck Creek Author, or Duck Creek Billing.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML for front-end customization.
Responsibilities
- We are seeking Duck Creek Policy Developer to develop and modify applications.
- Configure and develop within several areas of Duck Creek Policy.
- Collaborate with system architects, vendors, and business partners.
- Work effectively with multiple assignments and teams to meet completion dates.
- Train and mentor other staff members.
- Analyse existing program logic to determine best method of accomplishing required changes.
- Maintain and modify programs currently in production to keep them responsive to user.
- Manage error handling and code exceptions.
- Design program logic to meet specifications and to adhere to development and architecture standards.
- Prepare test data and thoroughly test code leveraging automated unit test framework.
- Analyse production programs to isolate problems.
- Document and maintain program specifications according to company standards.
- Develop administrative reports as needed.
- Mentor and coach associates within team and across multiple disciplines.
