Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer with hands-on experience in CATIA or NX, specializing in plastic component design for 2-wheeler projects. The candidate must have mandatory experience in the automotive domain and will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating plastic parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop plastic components for 2-wheeler vehicles using CATIA or NX.
- Create 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings as per project requirements.
- Apply plastic design concepts such as ribs, bosses, snaps, and mounting features.
- Ensure design feasibility considering injection molding processes.
- Perform tolerance stack-up and apply GD&T principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CAE, manufacturing, tooling).
- Support prototype development and validation activities.
- Implement design changes and maintain proper documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in plastic design within the automotive domain (Mandatory).
- Hands-on experience in CATIA V5 or Siemens NX.
- Strong knowledge of plastic design guidelines and injection molding.
- Good understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in 2-wheeler.
- Exposure to PLM tools.
