Key Responsibilities:
Technical Drafting and Drawing
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software based on engineering specifications and design concepts.
- Translate conceptual sketches and technical requirements into accurate technical drawings.
- Maintain and update drawing documentation as per project requirements.
Design Coordination
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements.
- Provide technical support in design development and modifications.
- Ensure drawings comply with company standards, engineering codes, and industry norms.
Project Documentation
- Maintain proper records of all drawings and revisions.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), component layouts, and assembly drawings as needed.
- Ensure proper version control and document management.
Quality and Standards Compliance
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with engineering standards.
- Conduct technical checks and revisions before final approval.
- Ensure adherence to safety, statutory, and quality standards in all drawings.
Mentoring and Guidance
- Guide and mentor junior draughtsman in drafting standards and techniques.
- Provide training on CAD tools and best practices in drafting.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 10–15 years of experience as a draughtsman in engineering, construction, or manufacturing.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, and industry standards.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in technical drafting.
