Job Title: IB Diploma Programme (DP) Coordinator

Job Summary
The DP Coordinator is responsible for the leadership, administration, and successful implementation of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The role ensures compliance with IB standards and practices, supports teachers and students, and promotes a culture of academic excellence, integrity, and international-mindedness.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Leadership & Management
- Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the DP curriculum
- Ensure alignment with International Baccalaureate Organization standards and practices
- Develop and review school policies (assessment, academic integrity, language, inclusion)
- Oversee programme authorization and evaluation processes
Academic Coordination
- Coordinate subject offerings, timetabling, and course selection
- Monitor curriculum delivery and academic rigor across all DP subjects
- Support teachers in unit planning, assessment design, and IB requirements
- Facilitate collaborative planning and standardization meetings
Assessment & IB Compliance
- Manage all internal and external IB assessment processes
- Ensure timely submission of coursework, predicted grades, and samples
- Coordinate moderation and maintain assessment records
- Uphold academic honesty policies and handle malpractice cases
Student Guidance & Support
- Guide students and parents on DP structure, subject choices, and requirements
- Monitor student progress and well-being
- Oversee core components:
- Extended Essay (EE)
- Theory of Knowledge (TOK)
- Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS)
- Support university counseling in collaboration with counselors
Staff Development
- Organize and facilitate IB professional development workshops
- Mentor new teachers in IB pedagogy and practices
- Promote inquiry-based and concept-driven teaching approaches
Communication & Administration
- Act as the primary liaison between the school and the IB
- Manage IB documentation, deadlines, and correspondence
- Communicate programme updates to staff, students, and parents
- Prepare reports for school leadership
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's degree in Education or relevant subject area
- Teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent)
- Significant experience teaching in the IB DP
- Prior experience in IB coordination or leadership role preferred
- Strong understanding of IB standards and practices
- Strong knowledge of IB curriculum and assessment procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- IB DP Coordinator workshop certification
- Experience with IB authorization/evaluation visits
