Overview
The Finance Domain Consultant will support finance operations by analyzing, optimizing, and managing processes across Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Record-to-Report (R2R). The ideal candidate will have strong functional understanding of core finance processes, hands-on experience with SAP modules, and exposure to service management or workflow tools such as ServiceNow. The role involves driving end-to-end solution delivery, process improvements, and governance adherence across finance transformation initiatives
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for AP/AR/R2R processes, workflows, and financial compliance initiatives.
- Collaborate with finance and IT teams to streamline financial operations, automate manual tasks, and enhance process accuracy.
- Support the design of end-to-end process journeys, solution blueprints, and integration models for finance systems.
- Assist in designing and implementing process improvements and system enhancements within SAP and other finance platforms.
- Act as a bridge between finance business units, IT, and delivery teams to ensure seamless communication and requirement traceability.
- Ensure adherence to internal governance, SOX compliance, audit guidelines, and financial control frameworks.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, standardization, and adoption of best practices.
- Support change management, testing cycles (SIT/UAT), and go-live activities for finance-related initiatives.
- Contribute to data migration activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with financial reporting standards.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 10-15 years of experience as a Finance Analyst, Consultant, or similar role in finance transformation projects.
- Experience with ServiceNow Finance Operations, ServiceNow FSM/FSM-Finance, or financial workflow digitization tools.
- Certification in finance or business analysis (e.g., CIMA, CMA, CA Inter, CBAP).
- Experience implementing or supporting SAP FI/CO, S/4HANA Finance, or ERP modernization initiatives.
- Understanding of ITSM, financial controls, audit processes, and compliance frameworks.
- Exposure to global service delivery models and large-scale finance operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degrees/certifications are a plus.
