Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Document Controller with 6-8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Energy, or Power industry. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized professional responsible for the timely and accurate preparation and management of all project-related documents. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as you will be the main point of contact for internal and external document control requests, ensuring data security and process adherence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document Management: Develop and update document control procedures and guidelines to ensure consistent and standardized processes. You will be responsible for receiving, logging, tracking, and filing all engineering and supplier documents in an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
  • Training & Support: Provide instructions and training to internal and external users to improve document management processes and ensure correct data exchange per contract.
  • Coordination & Communication: Act as a central point of contact, coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other discipline leads. You will respond to all document control requests promptly.
  • Data & Security: Maintain the security of confidential data and assist with both hard copy and electronic turnover of documents upon project completion.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and update technical documents and ensure all work adheres to quality management and operating procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Energy, Power, or a related industry.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in any discipline; a degree in Library or Data Science is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Technical: Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other computer skills. Experience with document management systems like Procore, Aconex, and Hexagon SDx is highly preferred.
  • Interpersonal: Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and a strong attention to detail.
  • Organizational: You must be delivery-focused, deadline-oriented, and possess excellent organization and documentation skills.
  • Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work in different shifts if necessary.
