Primary Title: Django Developer (Python)
A technology-driven Software Product & Enterprise Web Applications specialist building scalable, secure B2B web platforms and SaaS solutions. We deliver robust, high-throughput backend systems and RESTful services that power customer-facing portals and internal business workflows. This is an on-site engineering role based in India focused on backend development using modern Python/Django stacks.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain backend services and web applications using Django and Django REST Framework, ensuring clean, maintainable code.
- Author RESTful APIs, define database schemas and optimize queries using PostgreSQL and Django ORM for performance and reliability.
- Implement automated tests (unit & integration), participate in code reviews and enforce code quality and security best practices.
- Containerize applications with Docker, collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and support deployment activities for on-site environments.
- Troubleshoot production issues, monitor application health, and implement fixes to maintain uptime and responsiveness.
- Work cross-functionally with frontend, QA and product teams to deliver features on schedule and refine technical designs.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- 3+ years of hands-on experience building production web applications with Python and Django.
- Proven experience with Django REST Framework and designing RESTful APIs.
- Strong SQL and schema-design experience with PostgreSQL and Django ORM optimizations.
- Familiarity with containerization using Docker and Git-based source control workflows.
- Experience writing automated tests, conducting code reviews, and using CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
- Ability to work on-site in India and collaborate directly with cross-functional teams.
Preferred
- Experience with Celery and Redis for background tasks and caching.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and deployment tools (Gunicorn, Nginx).
- Familiarity with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry) and performance tuning.
