Experience: BE Mech with 20+ years in plant & equipment management in heavy civil / infrastructure, with Highways, Bridges, Elevated roads, Hydroelectric Dams and Irrigations project.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, allocate & mobilize plant/machinery across projects in the division
- Oversee preventive, predictive & breakdown maintenance; ensure high uptime & reliability
- Prepare & control budgets (CAPEX/OPEX), fuel, spares & consumables
- Manage vendor/OEM contracts, service agreements, and performance monitoring
- Track utilization, costs, KPIs and present MIS dashboards to management [CPH/HOD]
- Ensure safety, compliance & environmental standards across all sites
- Lead & mentor divisional plant engineers, supervisors, and operators
- Drive adoption of IoT/digital tools for monitoring & optimization
Skills / Competencies
- Strong technical expertise in heavy equipment (Heavy cranes, Gantry Cranes, Launching Girders, Crusher, Hot mix/Wet mix plant & pavers, etc)
- Strategic planning & lifecycle management of plant
- Cost control, vendor negotiation, and contract management
- Leadership, stakeholder management & cross-functional coordination
- Proficiency in ERP/SAP, analytics & reporting tools
