Job Description
Distribution Resource Planning Specialist
The Distribution Resource Planner plays a key role in developing and executing strategic supply and inventory plans to ensure product availability across a complex distribution network. This role focuses heavily on data analysis, forecasting, and optimization to drive cost-effective and efficient supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and manage hub-to-satellite inventory movement activities to ensure timely and accurate stock availability.
- Oversee the ICO process, including manual review of items in conversion to ensure correct inventory balancing prior to item flips.
- Manage island return processes by reviewing, executing, and following up on transfers to move surplus full-container inventory back to the mainland ahead of expiration or obsolescence.
- Monitor and resolve aging transfers by reviewing unshipped transfers, non-stock transfers older than 45 days, and aging deployment and PFS (pull-from-stock) purchase orders.
- Lead root-cause analysis for stock imbalances, forecast errors, or supply disruptions, and implement corrective actions.
- Perform manual clean-out of B01 inventory where system-driven movements are not triggered due to sourcing changes, adjustments, or system limitations.
- Provide operational backup support for India operations on inventory movements involving licensing requirements, refrigerated items, island demand, and expiration-sensitive products.
- Enhance and maintain Power BI & advanced excel dashboards and reports to improve visibility, tracking, and decision-making for manual transfer and inventory review processes.
Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 5+ years of experience in supply planning, forecasting, or demand management in Global environment
- Strong analytical and modeling skills with proficiency in Advanced Excel & Power BI (with DAX & Advanced reporting skills)
- Strong hands on to SAP ERP system and Visualization Tools (Power BI, Tableau etc.)
- Proven ability to manage complex data sets and translate insights into actionable business strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions.
- Experience driving process improvement, root cause analysis and cost-reduction initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Good to Have
- Experience in Distribution Planning, Intercompany / interplant movements across warehouses.
- Master's degree in supply chain, Operations Management.
- Supply Chain Certification like CPIM, CPSM.
- Experience in GCC / Global Support Center for US Region.

10.30 am to 7.30 pm daylight saving
11.30 am to 8.30 pm non daylight saving
