As we continue to scale globally, we are looking for a Senior Director – Data, AI & Engineering to lead strategic customer engagements, mentor engineering teams, and build world-class AI-powered engineering capabilities.

Role Summary

This is a senior leadership role for someone who enjoys operating at multiple levels—from defining engineering strategy and architecture to working directly with teams and customers to solve complex technical problems.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams across Data Engineering, AI/ML, Full Stack Engineering, Cloud, and Platform Engineering while driving engineering excellence across multiple customer engagements.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable discussing executive technology strategy with CTOs as reviewing architecture, mentoring engineers, and occasionally contributing hands-on when needed.

What You'll Be Doing

Engineering Leadership

Lead multiple engineering teams delivering enterprise-scale AI and data platforms.

Define engineering standards, architecture principles, and delivery practices.

Build a culture of engineering excellence, ownership, and continuous learning.

Mentor Engineering Managers, Architects, Tech Leads, and Senior Engineers.

Drive technical decision-making across multiple customer engagements.

AI & Data Platforms

Lead the design and delivery of:

AI-powered applications

Agentic AI systems

LLM-powered workflows

RAG architectures

Knowledge Graphs

Data ingestion pipelines

Data quality and governance platforms

Modern Data Lakes/Lakehouses

Analytics and reporting platforms

Full Stack Engineering

Guide engineering teams building modern web platforms using technologies such as:

React

TypeScript

Node.js

Python

Next.js

REST & GraphQL APIs

Event-driven architectures

Cloud & Platform Engineering

Drive cloud-native engineering across AWS and Azure including:

Kubernetes

Docker

Serverless platforms

CI/CD

Infrastructure as Code

Observability

Security

Performance optimisation

Customer Leadership

Act as trusted technology advisor to customers.

Participate in discovery workshops.

Review customer architectures.

Shape technical roadmaps.

Lead architecture reviews.

Support pre-sales, proposals, and solution design.

Build long-term customer relationships.

Engineering Excellence

Champion best practices including:

Architecture reviews

Design reviews

Code reviews

Technical documentation

Data contracts

API standards

Testing strategies

Performance engineering

Security by design

Engineering metrics

AI-assisted software development

What We're Looking For

You are someone who:

Has 12–18+ years of software engineering experience.

Has led engineering organisations delivering enterprise software.

Has experience building Data Engineering and AI platforms.

Has strong Full Stack engineering experience.

Can comfortably work across architecture and implementation.

Enjoys mentoring engineering leaders.

Has excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Is passionate about building high-performing engineering cultures.
