Role Overview
The Director / Senior Director will lead client engagements, shape service off — while acting as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders across infrastructure, EPC, and real estate sectors. Success in this role is defined by the ability to deliver tangible client impact, build long-term relationships, and contribute meaningfully to practice growth and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Engagement Leadership & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end engagements from problem structuring to execution and value realization
- Own development of approach documents, client discussions, initiative design, and implementation planning
- Act as primary interface with senior stakeholders, driving alignment and decision-making
- Ensure strong governance, milestone tracking, and delivery of measurable outcomes
- Anticipate risks, resolve roadblocks, and maintain delivery momentum across engagements
- Solution Development, POVs & Practice Building
- Develop POVs, approach documents, and tailored solutions aligned to client problem statements
- Build and scale offerings across business strategy, process re-engineering, operating model and org design, and operational excellence
- Bring in industry benchmarks, best practices, and innovative solutions to strengthen client impact
- Identify prospective areas of improvement for clients through SME collaboration and industry insight
- Contribute to internal knowledge building, thought leadership, and development of reusable frameworks and tools
- Business Development & Client Management
- Lead business development efforts — identifying opportunities, structuring proposals, and converting them into engagements
- Build and sustain long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders across infrastructure and real estate sectors
- Drive account growth by identifying adjacencies and expansion opportunities within existing clients
- Represent A&M in client workshops, executive discussions, and sector forums
- Support commercial structuring and pricing of proposals in line with engagement scope
- Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Build and mentor high-performing teams, driving ownership from problem identification to initiative closure
- Guide teams on structured problem-solving, consulting rigor, and industry best practices
- Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous learning within the team
- Collaborate with SMEs and cross-functional colleagues to strengthen solutioning and delivery quality
Director — Leads engagements independently, owns delivery and client relationships, and contributes actively to business development. Expected to identify and convert opportunities within existing accounts and support practice growth.
Senior Director — In addition to all Director responsibilities, holds accountability for revenue targets, leads business development independently including origination of new client relationships, and plays an active role in shaping practice strategy, offerings, and team building at a leadership level.
Experience & Qualifications
- 8+ years of total experience with minimum 3+ years in a strategy consulting firm
- MBA from a Tier 1 institute preferred; engineering background is a plus
- Sectoral experience in infrastructure, EPC, or real estate strongly preferred; prior industry exposure is an advantage
- Strong track record across strategy, transformation, and operational excellence engagements
- Demonstrated ability to lead engagements, manage senior stakeholders, and deliver tangible business impact
- Willingness to travel extensively based on project requirements
