R1 RCM is seeking an accomplished and strategic leader for the role of Director – Analytics & Business Intelligence to drive enterprise-scale analytics, reporting transformation, data integration, and business intelligence capabilities supporting our global Revenue Cycle Management operations.
About the Role
This leadership role will be responsible for managing a large, high-performing analytics organization supporting multiple RCM functions across Hospital and Physician Revenue Cycle processes. The role requires close partnership with US business leaders, operations leadership, technology teams, and India-based functional stakeholders to deliver actionable insights, operational intelligence, and scalable analytics solutions that improve financial outcomes, operational efficiency, and client experience.

Responsibilities
- Enterprise Analytics Leadership
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for Analytics & BI aligned with organizational and client priorities.
- Drive analytics-led operational transformation initiatives across end-to-end Revenue Cycle Management functions including Patient Access, Coding, Billing, Denials, Collections, and Payment Posting.
- Collaborate with executive leadership across US and India teams to enhance data-driven decision-making and operational visibility.
- Lead enterprise KPI governance, reporting standardization, and analytics modernization initiatives.
- Establish scalable frameworks for self-service analytics and business intelligence adoption.
- Data Integration & Engineering
- Lead enterprise-wide data integration strategy across operational, financial, and client systems.
- Oversee development and optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, and cloud-based analytics platforms.
- Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, security, and compliance across analytics ecosystems.
- Partner with technology and architecture teams to enhance automation and data accessibility.
- Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Oversee development and delivery of executive dashboards, operational scorecards, client reporting, and performance analytics.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting supporting SLA management, productivity tracking, financial performance, and operational excellence.
- Drive adoption of visualization best practices and intuitive BI solutions for business stakeholders.
- Lead reporting transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and automation.
- Standardization and optimization of reporting inventory.
- Specialized Analytics & Insights
- Lead advanced analytics teams focused on forecasting, trend analysis, productivity optimization, denial analytics, workforce analytics, and revenue improvement opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to leverage predictive analytics, AI/ML, and intelligent automation within RCM workflows.
- Translate complex operational data into actionable business recommendations for leadership teams and clients.
- Stakeholder & Client Engagement
- Serve as a strategic analytics partner to US and India operational leadership and client stakeholders.
- Present operational insights, business reviews, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership teams.
- Collaborate across Operations, Technology, Finance, Transformation, Quality, Compliance, and Client Services organizations.
- Support executive governance reviews, client presentations, and strategic transformation initiatives.
- Organizational & People Leadership
- Lead and inspire a high-performing analytics organization of 200+ professionals across multiple functions and delivery teams.
- Build strong leadership capability across managers, leads, and SMEs.
- Drive talent development, succession planning, employee engagement, and capability enhancement initiatives.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Governance & Operational Excellence
- Establish strong delivery governance models, SLA frameworks, prioritization mechanisms, and performance management standards.
- Drive process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives across analytics delivery.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, healthcare compliance standards, data privacy, and information security protocols.
- Manage risks, escalations, dependencies, and cross-functional coordination effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline.
- Master's degree (MBA/MS) preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or Reporting functions.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing large global teams (200+ employees preferred).
- Experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) domain require is a plus.
- Proven success managing global stakeholder relationships, particularly with US-based business partners.
- Experience leading enterprise analytics transformation and large-scale reporting organizations.
