Director Product Management - Subscription

JOB TITLE: Director Product Management

JOB SUMMARY: As a Director of Product Management, you will be responsible for retaining, renewals, and increasing revenue from existing subscribes of JioHotstar, along with the payment charter . You will establish a clear vision, create a roadmap for success, and nurture a high-performing product organization focused on innovation and customer satisfaction. The goal is to build a user insight platform, develop a subscriber lifecycle management platform, and scale retention & upgrade interventions via ML/AI during various user journey touchpoints to retain them better, and increase ARPU via upgrades, add-ons, and other monetisation opportunities. Further, in this role you will also owning improving the payment conversion funnel, auto-debit metrics, and reducing cancellations. This role involves overseeing a dynamic team of product managers and providing strategic direction to a cross-functional group of engineers, designers, data scientists, and specialists.

The Customer Experience team oversees the entire customer journey, from signup to personalized content viewing on a wide range of consumer devices. Our fast and intuitive experiences cater to various user segments, including mobile, tablet, and living room viewers. Supported by distributed services, we innovate through experimentation and data-driven decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop product strategy and roadmap focused on improving subs retention, increasing ARPU, and improving payment funnel while directly impacting L0 business metrics
  • Create value through a clear vision, addressing product challenges holistically while fostering a vision and culture for team success
  • Leverage extensive experience in guiding technical products to lead strategic roadmaps for JioHotstar's key components, ensuring meticulous attention to detail, clear communication, and effective problem-solving
  • Develop frameworks and strategies to analyze the competitive landscape, identify data partnerships, and explore new opportunities
  • Drive data analytics, user research, and market insights to refine JioHotstar's consumer experience offerings, utilizing expertise in guiding technical productsInnovate with a long-term vision, addressing product challenges from a business perspective, prioritizing effectively, and adjusting course as needed
  • Demonstrate ownership, action bias, and collaboration, driving accountability, guiding team success, providing constructive feedback, and evolving organizational structures

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:

  • Expertise in data-driven decision-making, skilled at leveraging data effectively
  • Expertise in deep technical systems and generative AI/ML is a plus
  • Previous background of working on loyalty or customer retention or payment platform is very much preferred
  • Strong background in leading, and mentoring high-performing product management teams
  • Excel at prioritising quarterly roadmaps and executing with excellence
  • Strategic thinker adept at navigating, influencing, and fostering collaboration with a results-driven mindset
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills for driving impactful outcomes
  • Passionate about building businesses, collaborating closely with engineering teams on design and architecture, recognised for a collaborative and engaging personality
