Director - Product Development - Java

Responsibilities

• Align activities with the organization's values and vision.
• Protect Intellectual Property.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Fulfill operational tasks and liaise with other functions to collect/provide relevant data.
• Design, implement, and maintain Java application phases.
• Drive best practices, quality, and consistency in design and development.
• Identify production and non-production application issues.
• Contribute to the Creditex strategic codebase for project design.
• Optimize Java applications for performance improvements.
• Provide technical support and consultation on Java applications and infrastructure.
• Support management with technical tasks as needed.
• Develop, test, implement, and maintain software using established processes.
• Recommend improvements to Java application processes.
• Create technical designs and develop Java application code.
• Execute unit tests and support formal testing to resolve defects.
• Manage development, maintenance, and support tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyze complex business functional specifications.
• Evaluate, adopt, and lead new technologies and tools.
• Provide technical support to Quality Assurance and business analysis teams.
• Resolve bugs promptly within agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with management to ensure smooth project implementations.
• Monitor, coach, and develop team members through knowledge sharing and training.
• Identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
• Manage multiple projects, complex relationships, and report to management/steering committees.
• Lead change initiatives in large, complex projects.
