Job Description

Director of Product Management

Location: Bengaluru, India

Department: Product Management

About the Role

We are looking for a Director of Product Management to lead one of Aurigo's core product areas. You will own the product strategy, roadmap, and delivery outcomes for your area, working across engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to ship products that capital owners trust with billion-dollar programs. This is a high-ownership leadership role for a product director who can think strategically, engage credibly with enterprise customers, and build a team that executes at the pace the business requires.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for your assigned product area, aligning with company goals and market priorities.
  • Lead and develop a team of Senior Product Managers, creating clarity on priorities, developing their skills, and holding the quality bar.
  • Work closely with engineering and design leadership to ensure product requirements are clear, delivery is predictable, and quality meets the standard that enterprise capital owners expect.
  • Engage directly with enterprise customers including government agencies and commercial capital owners to deeply understand their workflows, pain points, and decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with product marketing to develop positioning, value propositions, and go-to-market content for your product area.
  • Support pre-sales and sales cycles including demos, RFP responses, and technical discovery calls in partnership with the sales team.
  • Define success metrics for your product area and use them to guide prioritisation and investment decisions.
  • Work cross-functionally with other product Directors to ensure coherence across the Aurigo platform, as no product area operates in isolation.
  • Represent your product area in leadership reviews, investor discussions, and customer advisory conversations.

Soft Skills

  • Strong executive presence. Can present product strategy and roadmap to C-suite buyers, agency directors, and investors with equal credibility.
  • Clear and direct communicator. Produces crisp written and verbal communication for engineers, customers, and executives.
  • Ability to develop senior product managers and build a high-performing team.
  • Strategic thinker who stays accountable for delivery and is comfortable moving between long-term planning and sprint-level decisions.
  • Collaborative across functions and works well with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success without creating friction.

Hard Skills

  • Proven experience leading product teams and delivering complex B2B SaaS products end to end.
  • Strong product strategy and roadmap management skills. Can build a compelling multi-year roadmap and defend the prioritisation decisions within it.
  • Experience engaging directly with enterprise customers as a product leader.
  • Track record of working effectively with engineering and design to ship high-quality products on schedule.
  • Data-driven approach to product decisions. Defines metrics, measures outcomes, and uses data to course-correct.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with product management tools such as Aha, Jira, Confluence, and Figma.
  • Understanding of enterprise SaaS architecture, API-based integrations, and platform design principles.
  • Familiarity with AI product development including agent frameworks, large language model orchestration, and responsible AI practices.
  • Ability to engage credibly in architecture discussions with engineering leadership.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. MBA from a premium institution preferred.

Prior Experience

  • 14 or more years of experience in product management, with at least 3 to 4 years in a Director or equivalent senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record managing B2B SaaS products for enterprise or government markets.
  • Experience leading Senior Product Managers and building high-performing product teams.
  • Background in infrastructure, construction, capital program management, or related domains strongly preferred.
  • Experience in North American markets is a strong advantage.
