Role Summary
We are looking for a Director – Data Science & GenAI to driving verticalized AI/ML and GenAI solutioning, presales and delivery excellence for key accounts. This is a vertical business role, focused on driving deal conversions and ensuring scalable, repeatable and high impact AI solutions for clients.

Key Responsibilities
1) Vertical-Focused Solutioning:
- Build AI/ML & GenAI solution narratives tailored to the vertical's business problems (e.g., risk analytics, claims automation, demand forecasting, patient engagement, fraud detection, procurement copilots).
- Translate client challenges into solution architectures, roadmaps, and business value frameworks.
- Partner with Sales to develop win themes, and differentiators.
2) Presales Ownership:
- Lead end-to-end presales for the vertical:
- RFI/RFP responses
- Solution outlines & architecture
- Sizing, costing, and delivery model definition
- Commercial structuring & deal shaping
- Risk assessment and mitigation.
- Own orals, client workshops, and CXO storytelling for AI/GenAI programs.
- Create pursuit-specific AI/GenAI PoVs, mock-ups, and value constructs.
3) Client Engagement & Advisory
- Act as the AI/GenAI advisor to key clients in the vertical.
- Lead discovery workshops, value engineering sessions, and roadmap development.
- Guide clients on:
- Modernization paths
- Responsible AI
- ROI frameworks
- LLM cost governance
- Support Delivery teams during the initial solution handover to ensure clarity and alignment.
4) Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with Delivery Leadership, Architects, and SMEs to finalize solutions.
- Collaborate with Alliances (Azure, AWS, GCP, OpenAI, Databricks) for vertical-specific plays.
- Partner with Marketing to create verticalized client-facing content, case studies, and whitepapers.
Required Experience
- 15–18+ years of experience in Data Science / AI / ML; strong exposure to GenAI solutions and architectures.
- Mandatory presales experience including RFP ownership, solutioning, costing, and orals.
- Proven success in driving AI/GenAI wins within a specific vertical (e.g., BFSI, Healthcare, CPG/Retail, Manufacturing).
- Strong expertise in:
- LLMs, RAG architecture, embeddings, evaluation & guardrails
- Classic ML/NLP/CV
- Cloud (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP also acceptable)
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders (CXOs, VPs, Directors) and lead executive conversations.
- Experience managing deal sizes $1M–$10M or equivalent outcome/value-driven engagements.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on understanding of token optimization, model routing, and hybrid LLM architectures.
- Exposure to vertical compliance frameworks (HIPAA, PCI, SOX, etc.).
- Thought leadership: blogs, events, whitepapers (optional but valued).
