Job Description: Director, Projects (P3 Level)

Position Overview

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking an experienced Director, Projects to lead complex commercial real estate project management initiatives at the P3 level. This senior leadership role requires strategic thinking, exceptional client management skills, and deep expertise in managing large-scale, multi-faceted real estate projects across diverse portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Project Leadership Lead and oversee multiple high-complexity projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery excellence while maintaining strategic alignment with client objectives and JLL's service standards. Serve as the primary client relationship manager for major accounts, building long-term partnerships through exceptional service delivery and proactive communication.

Team Management and Development Direct and mentor project management teams, fostering professional development while ensuring consistent delivery standards across all managed projects. Establish clear performance metrics, conduct regular team reviews, and implement best practices to enhance team capabilities and project outcomes.

Client Relationship Management Cultivate and maintain senior-level client relationships, serving as trusted advisor on complex real estate portfolio strategies. Lead client presentations, contract negotiations, and strategic planning sessions while ensuring all project deliverables exceed client expectations.

Financial and Risk Management Oversee project budgets ranging from $10M to $100M+, ensuring accurate financial forecasting, cost control, and profitability targets. Identify and mitigate project risks while implementing quality assurance processes that protect both client interests and JLL's reputation.

Business Development and Growth Actively pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and develop proposals for prospective clients. Collaborate with business development teams to expand JLL's project management services while contributing to annual revenue growth targets.

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or related field required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum 15 to 20 years of progressive experience in commercial real estate project management, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles managing complex, large-scale projects.

Technical Expertise Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies, construction processes, and commercial real estate operations. Proficiency in project management software, financial modeling, and Microsoft Office Suite. PMP certification strongly preferred.

Leadership and Communication Skills Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple stakeholders, and communicate effectively with C-level executives and senior decision-makers. Strong presentation skills with experience managing client relationships and leading complex negotiations.

Industry Knowledge Comprehensive understanding of commercial real estate markets, construction and renovation processes, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Experience with workplace strategy, sustainability initiatives, and technology integration in real estate projects preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, or equivalent project management credentials. Experience with international projects or multi-market portfolio management. Background in corporate real estate, facilities management, or related consulting services. Demonstrated track record of business development success and client retention.
