Role description:
As a Director Office of Health Safety Wellbeing, you will Support the Global HSW Director in building and maturing Arcadis global Health, Safety, and Wellbeing strategy.
Role accountabilities:
Leadership & Governance:
- Overall programmer management of the HSW Office, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational excellence.
- Support the Global HSW Director to execute and manage the global HSW reorganization, including governance, processes, and structure.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining HSW policies and procedures.
Strategic Projects:
- Lead key projects to achieve strategic HSW objectives, driving improvements in HSW maturity.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts across HSW practices and procedures.
Risk Management:
- Oversee HSW risk management initiatives
- Oversee Global HSW incident investigation processes, ensuring lessons learned are captured, implemented and communicated.
- Ensure emergency preparedness processes are in place and regularly reviewed.
Monitoring & Reporting:
- Oversee HSW monitoring, reporting (internal and external) and compliance
- Oversee monthly HSE reporting and distribution.
Vendor Management:
- Manage global HSW vendor contracts, ensuring service delivery aligns with contractual scope, budget and organizational needs
- Manage privacy impact and security assessments.
Other:
- Overall HSW budget management including managing invoices
- Prepare strategic Global HSW meeting agenda and slides.
Key shared accountabilities:
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure HSW integration in daily operations.
- Provide strategic direction for HSW communication, engagement, and learning across the organization.
- Drive continuous improvement in HSW practices and processes.
- Support emergency preparedness and incident investigation efforts.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to industry standards.
Most important performance metrics:
- Progress in achieving strategic HSW objectives and improving maturity levels. Free Cash Flow
- Success in integrating HSW practices into daily operations.
- Implementation of lessons learned and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 5 years in HSW management roles, with a focus on policy development and strategic HSW project management.
Proven ability to influence and lead people across a global organization.
Strong ability to work cross-functionally with various departments.
Excellent skills in HSW communication, engagement, and learning initiatives.
Vendor Management: Experience managing global HSW vendor contracts and partnerships.
Bachelor's degree in HSW, EHS, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
