Role Overview
We are looking for a strategic, hands-on Director of Technology to lead the next phase of Cloudhire's AI-powered ATS platform. This role requires a strong technology leader who understands HRTech/Recruitment ATS systems and can architect, scale, and optimize a modern SaaS product powered by AI.
You will work directly with the founders to define the technology roadmap, strengthen architecture, build high-performing engineering teams, and scale Cloudhire into a category-defining HRTech platform.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology Strategy & Architecture
- Define and execute Cloudhire's long-term technology vision and roadmap.
- Lead system architecture for a scalable, secure, AI-powered ATS platform.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and enterprise-grade scalability.
- Oversee cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices using AWS.
Product & Platform Ownership
- Drive full-stack development across frontend, backend, AI, and DevOps layers.
- Scale and optimize the ATS core engine, workflows, integrations, and automation systems.
- Lead architecture decisions for multi-tenant SaaS deployment.
- Ensure seamless integrations with third-party HR tools, APIs, and enterprise systems.
AI & ML Innovation
- Lead AI/ML initiatives for resume parsing, candidate scoring, automation, workflow intelligence, and predictive hiring insights.
- Collaborate on AI-driven product enhancements and intelligent automation pipelines.
- Improve platform intelligence using scalable AI frameworks.
Engineering Leadership
- Build and mentor engineering teams across React, Node.js, Python, and DevOps.
- Establish engineering best practices, SDLC governance, and performance standards.
- Create scalable hiring and team development frameworks.
- Operate effectively in a startup environment with speed and ownership.
Startup & Leadership
- Work closely with founders on strategic technology decisions.
- Support investor conversations and technical roadmap presentations.
- Bring strong executive communication and decision-making ability.
Required Background
- Proven leadership experience in HRTech / Recruitment ATS platforms.
- Experience in VC-funded startup environments.
- Strong people management and team-building experience.
- High-level communication skills and strategic intelligence.
- Experience in AI/ML-driven products or implementations.
- Big Tech experience is a plus.
Technical Stack Expertise

- 8+ years of progressive technology experience

- Deep understanding of SaaS product scaling
- Experience building AI-powered automation platforms
- Comfortable operating across architecture, product, business, and investor layers
- Bias toward execution, ownership, and category-building ambition
