We are seeking a high-energy Director of Business Development to drive net-new client acquisition and revenue growth in the US market, with the role based out of India. This role requires someone with a proven track record of sourcing, engaging, and closing services deals in areas such as Product Engineering, Application Modernization, and AI solutions. You will be the front-line representative of our organization, building strong relationships with product leaders, CTOs, and technology decision-makers, while working closely with internal presales and delivery teams to drive consultative, solution-led sales.
This role is based in India, but demands someone who has worked with US customers, is comfortable working US time zones when needed, and has a valid US B1/B2 visa & prior US travel exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition in the US market through outbound prospecting, partnerships, and consultative selling.
- Independently source and close large services deals.
- Build and nurture C-level relationships (Product Heads, CTOs, VPs) in target accounts.
- Understand customer needs around Product Engineering, cloud, data, and AI solutions to position offerings effectively.
- Maintain CRM hygiene, accurate forecasting, and disciplined pipeline management.
- Collaborate with presales and delivery teams on proposals, SOWs, and solutioning.
- Consistently achieve/overachieve sales quotas and earn bonuses tied to successful deal closures.
Key Requirements
- Experience Level: 1015 years in IT services sales, with at least 9+ years of experience selling to US customers.
- Proven Track Record for the US Market:
- Closed net-new deals worth $400K annually, sourced directly by you.
- Can name customers and logos they have brought in the last 1-3 years.
- Demonstrated bonuses/incentives earned from deal closures.
- Demonstrated sales in areas like outsourced product development, user experience, and AI solutions.
Sales Skills:
- Strong conversationalist with a polished, confident presence in video and client meetings.
- Consultative approach; able to lead value-based discussions with product and technology leaders.
- Skilled in outbound prospecting, partnerships, and solution selling.
- Process Discipline: Excellent CRM management, forecast accuracy, and proposal collaboration.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of cloud, digital engineering, data, and AI/LLM solutions.
- Work Location: Based in India, but fully responsible for US market closures. Travel when needed. Valid US visa required and prior US travel preferred.
