Presenting factually accurate, immersive stories in short episodes (15 - 20 minutes), Swarn Bharat explores the unseen and unheard stories of Bharat's literature, valor, traditions, and cultural practices, illuminating the profound intersection of science and spirituality. By spotlighting lesser-known heroes, transformative traditions, eternal knowledge and timeless values, Swarn Bharat bridges cultural gaps, instills cultural pride, and energises viewers to reconnect with the deep roots of Bharatiya heritage and culture.

About the role:

We are hiring a Director of Photography (DOP) who can also independently edit video content for our channel. His is a key role in our founding content team, ideal for someone who excels in cinematography, has an excellent visual storytelling sense, strong knowledge of lighting and camera and is ready to contribute to a startup environment with agility and ownership. You will be responsible for planning and executing professional-grade shoots, while also managing post-production editing as needed.

Responsibilities:

As Director of Photography (Primary Role):

• Handle camera operation, lighting design, visual composition for our shoots (studio, green screen, and live set-ups).
• Translate creative briefs and scripts into strong visual language aligned with the show's tone.
• Coordinate with the creative director to design visual aesthetics for each show.
• Maintain high-quality cinematography standards using our Sony FX3 setup and Godox lighting kits.
• Supervise clean sound recording during the shoots.
• Coordinate with the creative director to design visual aesthetics for each show.

As Video Editor (Secondary Role):

• Edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos.
• Ensure seamless flow, pacing, audio sync, and visual consistency.
• Handle basic color correction, transitions, and audio enhancements.
• Export in formats optimised for YouTube and OTT delivery.

Required Skills:

• Proven DOP experience with professional cameras.
• Knowledge of three-point lighting, green screen lighting, and visual storytelling.
• Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro; After Effects is a bonus.
• Basic understanding of audio gear and monitoring during shoots.
• Aesthetic sensibility, sharp eye for detail, and storytelling clarity.

Location:

• Navi Mumbai (Vashi) Full-time in-house role.
• Open to candidates willing to relocate for the opportunity.
