Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and data-driven FP& A Director to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing Roadzen's financial planning processes, reporting, and analysis. You will provide strategic insights and financial recommendations to support executive decision-making and help drive the company's long-term financial success. The incumbent will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment with organizational goals. This position offers great exposure to cross-functional collaboration, financial planning processes, and continuous improvement in reporting and data visualization.

Financial Planning

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

  • Develop timely and accurate budgets and forecasts, including rolling forecasts, to help the organization adapt to changing market conditions and business dynamics.
  • Collaborate with department heads and business leaders to gather inputs and assumptions for budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment and buy-in with corporate objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze budget performance, identifying areas of variance and providing recommendations for corrective actions.

Financial Reporting And Analysis

  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models and scenario analyses to support budgeting and strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior leadership, the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders, including investor presentations and SEC filings.
  • Collaborate with business partners and various functions to provide accurate and timely financial analysis.
  • Meet with division leads and stakeholders to discuss monthly variances to budget and any organizational changes that may affect financials.
  • Help build and maintain dashboards for internal reporting and transparency.

Systems And Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes and systems, driving standardization and automation initiatives to streamline workflows and improve accuracy.
  • Implement best practices for financial planning and analysis across the organization.
  • Partner with service delivery leads and other teams to ensure data alignment.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment between FPA and general accounting functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; master's or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced MS Office skills, including building/maintaining complex models.
  • Understanding of internal and external financial reporting, budgeting/rolling forecasts, monthly and quarterly business reviews, board decks, and investor presentations.

Soft Skills And Mindset

  • A self-starter that is eager to learn, works with little supervision, and is comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment, who can prioritize multiple assignments to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable analyses.
  • Exquisite attention to detail and analytical mindset; able to anticipate stakeholder needs.
  • Demonstrated experience at building new and modifying existing models to accommodate new business lines, strategies, and dynamic growth expectations in multiple currencies and products.
  • Experience with implementing new technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Strong quantitative skills with the ability to interpret and analyze large sets of financial data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders across multiple countries and time zones, including regular interactions with the Executive Team.
  • Foster a high-performance culture, emphasizing collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Experience working for a Nasdaq-listed firm and SEC filing requirements.
