Position Overview

You'll drive the technical charter and shadow the CTO role as the engineering function evolves at a fast-growing quick-commerce platform. You'll shape the technical direction and build scalable systems serving thousands of customers daily. This role offers unique exposure to founders and the opportunity to establish the engineering organization from the ground up in a high-growth startup environment.

Role & Responsibilities

Lead and scale the engineering team while establishing technical vision and architecture strategy

Drive end-to-end product development from ideation to deployment across web, mobile, and backend systems

Build and optimize real-time logistics and demand-supply matching algorithms for 10-minute service delivery

Establish engineering best practices, code quality standards, and scalable development processes

Collaborate with founders on product roadmap and technical decisions that impact business growth

Mentor engineering talent and build a high-performing team culture focused on innovation and execution

Ensure system reliability, performance, and security as the platform scales to serve millions of users

Must Have Criteria

8-10 years of engineering experience with at least 3+ years in senior leadership roles

Proven experience as CTO, co-founder, or senior engineering leader at a startup (preferably Series A or beyond)

Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, React, and modern full-stack development

Experience building and scaling consumer tech platforms serving 1M+ users with high transaction volumes

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Load Balancing)

Nice to Have

Previous experience building consumer products or B2C platforms across any domain

Experience in on-demand services, logistics, or quick-commerce platforms

Experience with React Native mobile development and cross-platform architecture

Background in building location-based services or real-time matching algorithms

Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and analytics platforms
