Mizuho Bank Americas is establishing a state-of-the-art Global Capability Center (GCC) in Pune, designed to be a strategic extension of its global operations. At the heart of this initiative is the creation of a next-generation Technology Operations Center (TOC), modeled on a mission control concept delivering real-time visibility, proactive incident management and intelligent automation across critical infrastructure and applications. The Pune GCC will not only drive operational excellence but also act as a hub for innovation, transformation and continuous improvement in Mizuho's technology landscape. You will be joining one of the most technically advanced command center, helping to build and fine-tune the operations procedures, working for a major Investment Bank.

Key Responsibilities:

• The TOC Director will be responsible for leading and scaling a 24x7 operations function that ensures high availability, resilience, and operational excellence
• 15+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure & Operations, with at least 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience in running a Technology Operations Center (TOC/NOC/Command Center) in a banking or financial services environment.
• This role requires a strong balance of global alignment and local execution, driving consistency with global IT standards while empowering local teams to deliver end-to-end ownership and accountability
• Mirror global (US-led) IT operating models initially, with a roadmap toward globally distributed service leadership.
• Define TOC vision covering monitoring, incident management, escalation, command center operations, and service restoration.
• Lead end-to-end IT infrastructure operations across Compute, DB, Cloud (Public, Private), Networks, Storage, VDI
• Ensure high service reliability, minimal downtime, and rapid incident resolution.
• Drive proactive operations, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure organizational consistency by aligning Pune TOC structure with global IT (US) organization.
• Enable local empowerment with clear accountability for execution while maintaining global standards.
• Operate within a dual reporting model, Solid line to Pune GCC leadership and dotted line to Global IT functional leads
• Act as a strong bridge between global stakeholders and local delivery teams.
• Ensure adherence to audit, security, and compliance standards.
• Build and lead a high-performing, inclusive, and diverse team operating in a 24x7 shift model.
• Ownership, accountability, speak-up mindset, transparency, collaboration across geographies
• Continuous learning and upskilling, drive employee engagement, retention, and leadership development within shift-based teams.
• Establish best-in-class processes across Incident, problem, and change management
• Strong Major Incident (MI) command center operations
• SLA/KPI governance and reporting
• Drive standardization, repeatability, and scalability through Centers of Excellence (CoEs).
• Implement automation, AIOps, and data-driven decision-making.
• Provide clear visibility into operations, risks, and performance.
• Strong people leadership and team-building skills.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor of Engineering or a Degree in Computer Science.
