Global Payroll Leadership
- Lead end-to-end global payroll operations across multiple geographies within a shared services model
- Build, manage, and develop high-performing payroll teams across regions
- Act as the global escalation point for complex payroll issues and risk events
- Ensure alignment between local execution and global payroll standards
Governance, Controls & Compliance
- Establish and maintain robust payroll governance frameworks, including SOPs and controls
- Ensure compliance with SOX and internal audit requirements
- Partner with internal and external auditors for payroll audits, testing, and remediation
- Proactively identify and mitigate operational and financial risks
Financial Management & Close
- Own payroll accruals including wages, bonuses, commissions, and statutory liabilities
- Partner with Finance on month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure accurate GL postings, reconciliations, and audit-ready payroll data
Payroll Systems & Transformation
- Oversee payroll platforms such as ADP, CloudPay, and Workday
- Drive system optimization, integrations, and controls in partnership with HRIS and IT
- Support global payroll transformations, implementations, and vendor transitions
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with global payroll vendors and ensure adherence to SLAs
- Act as a strategic partner to HR, Total Rewards, Finance, and Audit teams
Process Excellence
- Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Enhance scalability and efficiency within global payroll operations
- 12+ years of experience in payroll, with significant exposure to global/shared services environments
- Proven experience in a public company or SOX-compliant setup
- Strong expertise in payroll accruals, reconciliations, and financial close cycles
- Hands-on experience with ADP, CloudPay, and Workday
- Demonstrated leadership in managing multi-country payroll operations
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Experience building or scaling global payroll shared services / COEs
- Exposure to payroll transformation and system implementations
- Background in audit, controls, and risk management
- MBA, CPA, or payroll certification is advantageous
