Job Description

Global Payroll Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end global payroll operations across multiple geographies within a shared services model
  • Build, manage, and develop high-performing payroll teams across regions
  • Act as the global escalation point for complex payroll issues and risk events
  • Ensure alignment between local execution and global payroll standards



Governance, Controls & Compliance

  • Establish and maintain robust payroll governance frameworks, including SOPs and controls
  • Ensure compliance with SOX and internal audit requirements
  • Partner with internal and external auditors for payroll audits, testing, and remediation
  • Proactively identify and mitigate operational and financial risks



Financial Management & Close

  • Own payroll accruals including wages, bonuses, commissions, and statutory liabilities
  • Partner with Finance on month-end and year-end close processes
  • Ensure accurate GL postings, reconciliations, and audit-ready payroll data



Payroll Systems & Transformation

  • Oversee payroll platforms such as ADP, CloudPay, and Workday
  • Drive system optimization, integrations, and controls in partnership with HRIS and IT
  • Support global payroll transformations, implementations, and vendor transitions



Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Manage relationships with global payroll vendors and ensure adherence to SLAs
  • Act as a strategic partner to HR, Total Rewards, Finance, and Audit teams



Process Excellence

  • Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Enhance scalability and efficiency within global payroll operations

The Successful Applicant

  • 12+ years of experience in payroll, with significant exposure to global/shared services environments
  • Proven experience in a public company or SOX-compliant setup
  • Strong expertise in payroll accruals, reconciliations, and financial close cycles
  • Hands-on experience with ADP, CloudPay, and Workday
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing multi-country payroll operations
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience building or scaling global payroll shared services / COEs
  • Exposure to payroll transformation and system implementations
  • Background in audit, controls, and risk management
  • MBA, CPA, or payroll certification is advantageous
