The
Director, Global Engineering Excellence-John Zink leads and coordinates global engineering capability leaders to ensure regional execution offices deliver projects efficiently, with high quality, and in compliance with both global standards and local regulations. This role will collaborate closely with global engineering leadership to advance a fully integrated worldwide engineering model that fosters innovation and empowers teams to achieve outstanding engineering and design excellence.

What You Will Do
Requirements:
- Strategic Leadership & Engineering Execution Excellence
- Collaborate and lead the development and deployment of engineering execution frameworks, standards, processes, and best practices globally.
- Drive engineering execution excellence through consistent application of global engineering capabilities in regional project environments.
- Collaborate with regional execution offices to understand local challenges and tailor global practices to fit regional requirements.
- Supervisor Responsibility and Capability Development
- Advance a culture where contribution motivated employees become increasingly self-actualized by aligning each employees abilities and interests with value creating opportunities consistent with the business vision.
- Lead and coach engineering teams - create a vision, set goals, and define a strategy for achieving established objectives while continuously improving the team's talent position.
- Evolve and build the global engineering capability model to ensure advantaged technical expertise and methodologies.
- Utilize global knowledge, training, and continuous improvement across global and regional engineering teams.
- Provide specialized technical expertise and support for regional codes or client-specific requirements
- Project Delivery Results
- Oversee engineering execution performance in regional offices to ensure projects meet as-sold scope, meet budget, schedule, and delivered quality expectations.
- Act as escalation point for technical and execution issues requiring global coordination.
- Support regional leadership with resource planning, engineering / design execution, and risk mitigation.
- Institutionalizing Global Engineering & Design Knowledge
- Serve as a bridge between global centers of excellence and regional project teams to ensure we are applying knowledge and comparative advantage
- Serve as key stakeholder to transforming product life cycle systems, workflows, and digital technologies to advance engineering and design practices.
- Ensure adherence to global engineering standards while respecting regional codes, regulations, and client-specific requirements.
- Facilitate cross-regional collaboration to leverage best practices and lessons learned.
- Communicate engineering execution priorities, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Demonstrated experience in engineering leadership within a global or multi-regional project environment.
- Exposure of engineering fundamentals, standards, systems, and methodologies in a multi-disciplinary setting within oil & gas markets
- Background in Engineering or related technical field
- Demonstrated performance in building capability in teams through holistic talent strategy
What Will Put You Ahead
- Proven experience in driving results utilizing PBM principles, mental models and frameworks in international locations
- Experience in implementation, usage and evolution of PLM systems and workflow processes.
- Experience in applying technology / digital transformation / AI in the context of engineering and design work.
