To lead the finance function at a regional level

Job Description

Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
Should be able to collaborate with multiple Govt. regulatory bodies, ministry and port authorities on frequent occasions
Act as a strategic business partner for India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh region, should have good understanding of the compliance and regulations in these regions
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Manage risk assessment and mitigation plans to safeguard the company's financial health.
Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and corporate governance policies.
Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve operational excellence.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making processes.
Monitor market trends and provide insights to enhance financial performance.
Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and financial institutions.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Director Finance should have:

Qualified CA with at least 17+ years of experience in the shipping industry, preferably
Proven expertise in financial strategy, planning, and compliance within the transport and distribution sector.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
